In nursing, you get to know people and their families more than you knew them before. Nancy was a great lady. She loved her family and friends. She had one of those addicting smiles. I can't remember when she passed away. I think it was approx. three years ago. You are missed, Nancy!
Nancy and I were good friends in school and became great friends later as we both battled the horrible disease that would eventually take her life. We laughed and cried and shared our good times and bad through chemo and radiation. She was always so positive and such an inspiration to me. I was with her and her family when she passed. I felt lost and alone when she died. Several days later, while shopping, I saw a little glass angel that looked just like Nancy. I bought it and it sits on my computer desk, so I feel like she is always with me. When I see her daughter, who looks so much like her, it makes me smile! I miss her very much!
It was so shocking to hear about Nancy. I agree with Jennifer and Stacy that she did have a beautiful smile. thinking back to the years at Vista and at RBHS I don't remeber anyone that was kinder or sweeter then Nancy. We may not have known each other really well, but her sweet disposition radiated out to those around her.
